Tatiana Mikhailova joined the Slavic program at Barnard in the spring 2020 after teaching at CU-Boulder for over 15 years.  She taught all levels of Russian language classes and is currently teaching an advanced level of Russian at Barnard. 

Tatiana Mikhailova holds an M.A. in Russian Language and Literature from the Ural State University (Yekaterinburg, Russia). Her publications and conference papers discuss diverse subjects ranging from contemporary Russian cinema to political caricature and the representation of women in post-Soviet culture. She has also presented papers and organized panels at national conventions on various issues of language pedagogy.
